Not swollen at all
Last week, I had dinner with a friend who'd just come home for the holidays. He'd also just had his wisdom tooth removed, so out of consideration, I thought we'd go somewhere with porridge, or tofu, or something.
I asked about the extraction, and mentioned that I had one more wisdom tooth to remove, but was procrastinating because of -- oh, I don't know -- the excruciating pain?
"Hey, do you want to go to my dentist instead? He's very good. I assure you it won't hurt at all," he offered.
"Of course the extraction is not going to hurt if you can't even feel your mouth. But when the anaesthesia wears off..." I shuddered at the memory.
His eyes widened. "Seriously, zero pain! Look, it's not even swollen! My dentist is the best!"
I stared at him, and then felt a grin tug at the side of my mouth. "The tooth that you had extracted -- that was on your left, yes?"
He blinked once, twice. "Yes, how'd you guess?"
"It's swollen."

Another puzzling find. Bath salt thattastes smells like polar bears? I don't know.

It's a dilemma here. I dont know if i prefer to look swollen but do not feel any pain or feel pain but do not look swollen.

7366: The conversation or the photo? I'm pretty sure we have enough funny moments, it's just that most of them are too fleeting for us to remember. Other times, they manifest in the form of annoyance first; only when you pen them down do they seem remotely funny on hindsight. ;) The photos I'll just attribute to excessive (window) shopping.
OLT: Definitely the no pain option for me! Please send dentist recommendations my way if they can ensure a painless op. =\
Huh. That's weird. Your friend's gum was swollen but he didn't feel any pain? Maybe his dentist really is quite remarkable after all.
My friends hardly ever make sense to me. That's how they earn their mention. ;)
