Wednesday waffles
(Apparently alliteration's addictive.)
Wanna hear some crazies? I've started listening to Christmas songs; I don't know why. But then I also started buying Christmas presents in July. Some, anyway; others I kinda have vague ideas.
I don't quite know how to say this, so just bear with me while I beat around the bush. This past year has been pretty surreal. (Aaaaand that last sentence was pretty clichéd.) Good and bads, but mostly good; it's always mostly good. And you know what -- you've been a part of it, the good part. It's strange -- to be warmed, touched, comforted, and tickled, by words on a screen, by people whose faces I've never seen, yet in some ways feel closer to than others whose faces I see every day.
So I've been thinking, that I'd like to do something, especially for those of you whom I've come to think of as friends, even if it's in a strange way that I still can't grasp entirely; brings a smile to my face, though. :) Unfortunately, there's no other way around this than for you to be totally shameless. Drop me an e-mail, or a note, or anything, with an address that I may send your Christmas present to! I don't know what yet, but for those of you who are worried about the expense, don't -- it'll probably be something inexpensive, or handmade, or inexpensive. But it'll make me really happy -- this giving thing -- so just think of it as that. :)
I thought of sending out individual e-mails, but then I didn't want anyone to feel obliged to say yes, and I thought it'd be nice to see if there was anyone at the back of the class -- you know, the quiet one, the one who's always too shy to raise their hand; I was always that child. This is closer to the unintrusiveness of blogging too -- for some of us anyway. :) So this extends to everyone: everyone who's left comments, e-mails, everyone who's been silently reading; online and offline (time to 'fess up if you haven't) friends, faces, and monikers. It's Christmas, afterall -- heck, if your mom wants something, let me know too. :)
So yeah, that's the deal. I hope some of you will take it up, but I'll understand if you don't want to give away your address; I know, I could be an ax murderer. :p
Merry early Christmas! :)

Woof!: I'm tired of making mugs, hur hur. Other things, can? :p
lyn: Sure, drop me an e-mail. I can't find yours on your site. (Nice new layout, by the way!) :)
no crazies - I've been listening to christmas melodies throughout the year.;)
I was organising my music collection. What's your excuse? ;) (Unrelated: is there a particular reason why BoY became ABoY? :p)

Oops, was that always there? I always only looked at the blog! ;)
I decided I shouldn't be so selfish and claim the title of being the only kid in the blogosphere.;)
Oooh... spreading the christmas cheer are we? I would like a story from the master herself then... Or a prose/sonnet/poem/limerick... Can?

Clearly people are not getting the hang of this Christmas giveaway thingy. What is with all the personalised requests?! :\ Choice of present is mineeeeee! :p
Vandice: You will notice the lack (or complete absence) of poetry here. The last time I wrote a poem, it was about a bird named Nerd (because it rhymes; and now you know how bad it is), and because I had to do it for some school collaboration thingy. I'm absolutely baffled as to how you arrived at the conclusion that I'd be capable of any of that that you have mentioned!
But... but... you write so well wat!
Guess I shld juz mail you my address then...
Aw, thanks! :) I just write what I feel.
That makes it three so far, and to anyone else who's interested, my offer for present/card/etc still stands till... Christmas! :)
I wish it could be Christmas all year long...
Me too. What's not to love about Christmas? :)
